Baby Gates
There are many exciting stages of a person’s life, beginning with their development from infancy. One of the most exciting parts of a baby’s development is when they start to crawl, but this can also be an extremely stressful time for parents. When babies learn to crawl, they can suddenly get into much more trouble around the house. Fortunately, things like baby gates can limit the danger of their getting hurt. Safety gates come in two main types and are very useful for homes with crawling babies. One type is designed to be anchored to a wall and kept there. These fixed gates are useful for the tops of stairs, openings to a utility room, or anywhere else the baby will never be allowed to crawl around.
The other type of gate is portable, designed to be locked out to fit across a hallway, but can be moved to different places in the house. These gates are better if you want to move around the house with baby, blocking them into whatever room you want to be in at the moment. They can also be useful if you travel to visit friends and family; if you are going to be staying with someone who does not have a child, you can take a gate or two with you to keep baby safe. These portable baby gates are not as sturdy as fixed ones, which cannot be pushed over. Which type of baby gates you use will depend on your needs, or you may have some of each type.
